I agree with BB, there is nothing new on two-footed-release, in my early days, it was called "down-unweighting."

Too strong a requirement. "Release" is to release the pressure on the skis/edges, which can be done by "shortening" the distance between the "center of gravity" and the "base of support"; there are three joints, hip joings, knees, and ankles can be flexed, and/or combination of them to achieve the "release," so his "two-footed release" requirement is too rigid.

Here's my interpretation of "two-footed release," as well as PMTS turns,

YouTube- No G turns

I never read about HH says he invents any ski techniques. He trademarks some terms and promotes a subset of ski techniques earlier than others. The problem is that we can't get a DVD or book from other sources to learn TFR even if it is not exclusive to PMS

Not trying to argue with master you, but it is more a edge control similar to your slipping technique in the beginning. The video shows some beautiful skiing. Skiing is a visual thing to many. Regardless what HH promotes, he is a beautiful skier in many people's eyes.

No problem about arguing. He is a beautiful skier, as a matter of facts, an excellent skier alright, but with his "strong" requirements on his techniques to promote his "style," (may make a commercial sense,) but he really "partitions" himself out of the "whole"/"total" skiing experience, i.e. there's more "skiing" than his PMTS. As slipping turn achieves what his carving turn does, and slipping turn uses less energy, easier to perform, and safer than carving turn does, there are better ways to ski to enjoy the skiing than what he has prescribed, imo.

Many people like me learn from different sources. Some of things said about opposing view does not help and it puts me off.

Guess we are opposite; I learn by challenge myself to do better, and people who can only talk but cannot do is what puts me off.

I like blues music. It is primarily based on a scale with 5 notes. On the other hand, many of our children learn classical music. Classical music is based on 7 notes major scale. It does not help the audience if classical music camp criticizes blues as too limited because it uses two less notes and vice versa.

My view is that it is not about which technique is better. People like HH’s skiing so they want to ski like him. It is natural for these people to learn the technique from him and not from PSIA. Maybe there are more than one way to do it but for skiers who want to ski like him will buy into what he says that is reasonable.

Again, I am talking about what is between PSIA and HH.
