Psboy, slipping is understeer while skidding is oversteer. You-know-who-is-confused can't tell which is what is giving you the incorrect info 2 make himself look good

依您的分法,下面這張照片的動作應該是屬於skidding,是嗎?skier666 寫:slipping is understeer while skidding is oversteer.

skier666 寫:slipping is understeer while skidding is oversteer.
I totally agree that arm posture is very important. BTW, Warren Smith also explains arm posture (that is different from yours) in his DVD. You may have a look for our further discussion.norman
Thanks, skier666, for your explanation of slipping. I do not have much knowledge of slipping. You may tell me more if you don't mind.skier666 寫:Psboy, slipping is understeer while skidding is oversteer. I totally agree that arm posture is very important. BTW, Warren Smith also explains arm posture (that is different from yours) in his DVD. You may have a look for our further discussion.
Seems you do not have much pressure on the front of the skis when you start the turn. As you know, I'm a holiday skier so don't have much knowledge of ski technique. Please correct me if the observation is incorrect.
Slipping is taught to beginner by many schools so it is very simple. A book published in 1998 taught this to never ever.PSBoy 寫:Thanks, skier666, for your explanation of slipping. I do not have much knowledge of slipping. You may tell me more if you don't mind.
Perhaps, 大勇若怯,大知若愚 is not valid in this century.

Thanks, Norman, for giving me the detailed explanation of 後坐 and updown的關係. I have no further question, thanks againnorman
Thanks, skier666.skier666 寫:Think of it as driving a car. Upper hill LTE is the brake, lower hill ski is the gas. You can control speed and and direction by controlling the edge angle differently. You can look up Apen method.
Thanks, Norman, for giving me the detailed explanation of 後坐 and updown的關係. I have no further question, thanks again
PS. I did not mention 後坐 in my previous posts, right? Perhaps, this term may be overused in many places.

The Normanean Law of NO-BackSeat.
