I am not the one who floundering my skiing around internet seeking approval so I have nothing to prove. I am just an audience and sharing videos with others. The more you talk the more I see a lonely old man getting bitter by the day :fm (37):
Don't feel bad. We all know that he is very good at biting.

I disagree about your "low IQ" statement because I think that those cliff jumpers must know something in order to jump and ski away safely.
I don't bite, but the "truth" bites. My question was "what so 'remarkable' about jumping?" Some extreme skiers may not be "low IQ," and very skillful, nevertheless, cannot say the same about the rest of the crowds, they're just "name-dropping" the "big terms" and pretending they know better, but cannot ski, and that's the truth.
I agree in some degree about your "can they turn" question, but those jumpers do not give it a shit about skiing groomed.
The foundation of the classical high level skiing is parallel turns, and more advanced techniques/skills are ability to ski powder, trees, and moguls, which make up the "disciplines" of "alpine skiing." Without those disciplines, even they know how to "jump" (without discipline, most of them jumps just fall,) does not make them expert skiers. Extreme/difficult skiing mask a lot of technical faults; people who brag about how good/great they can jump and/or doing off-piste skiing and look down the groomed runs skiing yet cannot ski the groomed runs "cleanly" is just that, braggers, so their comments serve no good to the public or to themselves.

I think it is last week or some time earlier Kirkwood held an extreme skiing competition; the good news is, a Tahoe local won, and the bad news is, a Tahoe local died in a fall during the competition. Do you think it is worthy?

Smart skiers thrive, and bold skiers die.

He back flip in an area that is closed that is off limit to you and me. You can't even ski steep. You can redo the wall to eagle bowl video to prove us all wrong. Whatever you do, don't park and ride hunting for turn. All you need to do is compete with yourself. You give line-skiing a bad name.

Great skiers can choose his line independent of terrain. They are the line skiing masters. You let terrain dictate your line and we are only talking about Kirkwood chair 10. prove us wrong with a video, You can even get a higher score with a spin :face (51):

BTW, Ryan is not local kid.

Good form for a "recreational skier," but a bit timid/拘謹 for a L3, need to work on "black" bump slopes to build up the stamina, then the skills will improve.

I'll show you more of my steep run skiing later on when weather permitted. Have a look before you make the judgement.

The following is my black run skiing video of last year

YouTube - down Goat's Gully 2010

YouTube - Short turn down Bear Paw 2010

Hope I can ski better this year.

One more thing, I don't like tranversing when skiing once I start turning but you did a lot especially off groom. Although your skiing is high end but it still waste a lot of time.

:face (50): PKU is making fun of Taichiskiing. :face (47):
Honestly, to my knowledge, PKU's bump skiing is probably one of the best in in chinese society. Of course, he still has a lot of room to improve. But with my level of skiing, I can only tell that his skiing bumps is much better than mine.

There are some Chinese skiers ski better than me on bumps from Taiwan.

Ader is one of them especially on the tight bumps. He keep his feet underneath him so well makes it easier to balance ( more like freestyle ) while I got the habbit of setting the skis a bit away from the body to show more perfomance but kill myself when the bumps are tight.
