Regarding rebound, check it out again once you're able to ski again. Rebound doesn't exists in your rollerblading or your slow-speed practice. However, it does exists. Or next time, go rent a super stiff ski and compare that to a soft flex ski (like a low-end or lady ski). Go compare that yourself.
