All brand new? Must cost you a fortune. Are you going to race this season? Sounds exciting.

All brand-new. All got the Ski Magazine's "Gold Medal Award 2012". This configuration is recommended from my mentor.

WOW!!! Dollars, dollars, that is a serious investment. Guess that you are all set for the season. Let us know how they work [together]. 3" of snow has fallen overnight, the season is on track for a good early start; Heavenly opens on Nov 18, can't wait. Have fun.

That are a lot skis, how do you decide which skis to use? For the binding, I suggest those demo/rental binding that the binding positions and boot sizes can be adjusted on the flight. I move my twin tips skis' binding forward about half to one inch to make them a carving skis, and that's fun way to play when the "regular" skiing turns boring.
I'll be ski with my new used demo carver, Salomon Tornado @170, this season; my first carver, should be interesting.

Hi taichiskiing - can you do us a favor ... do you have COSTCO card? If yes, can you visit your local COSTCO to see if they have discounted lift tickets?

Sorry, no, I don't have COSTCO card (though my wife has one, and we go there about once in two mouths); nevertheless, if COSTCO has the "policy" to sell discounted lift tickets, then our local COSTCO (in Carson Valley, Nevada, 50 minutes away) should have it too. Nevertheless, what kind of discounts you're looking for? Most of local supermarkets, and ski rental shops sell some discount tickets too, usually 5 to 10 dollars discounts. Or you can shop online. It is better to get the lift tickets off the resorts, they're usually cheaper and you don't have to wait on the ticket windows. The price of the lift tickets for Heavenly on feb6 to feb10 is listed $85.
