他們作過很多研究關於Transference of Skill. 首先, 學習過程大至上分成 cognitive stage, motor stage and autonomous stage. 有一段句子很有趣, 大家可參考參考.
In the study of motor learning, transference relates to how practice of skill in one activity accelerates or improves learning in some other perhaps closely -related activity. The interesting point here is that transference is usally absent or startling low even between seemingly similar activities. If it is seen at all, it is usually in cognitive stage of learning and eventhen it is quiet small. It appears therefore, that the complexity ,cooordination and integration of a skilled activity is so specific that it can derive very little help from other skilled movements. Hence , the best training for technical skiing is only skiing.
