#1 Good Skiing
Don't fight! Don't fight!
Why don't we stop discussing who skies better or who does not?
Why don't we start finding out what consists of the good skiing?
IMHO, based on what I learned, good skiing needs to demonstrate 5 elements:
1. Good balance
2. Good edging control
3. Good rotary movement
4. Good pressure control
5. Good directional movement
Please add what you can think of to the list. (Only after we define what the good skiing is, we can compare who is good and who is not!)

For me, racing is not the type I want. I like more on the demonstration way of skiing ( demo team )
My idot are like Richard Berger ( Austrian demo team ) , Norman Kreutz ( CSIA ), and a lot of Japanese high level skier.
Especially Richard Berger, he ski fast, and dynamic with good control and look elegant.
Their skiing are blending all the skills you post with the right amount on almost all situation.

Yes, I remember that the Coordination is one of your CSIA's good skiing elements. Can you add more elements that you may think that are important.pku 寫:For me, racing is not the type I want. I like more on the demonstration way of skiing ( demo team )

Before the 大膽突破, one must have a sound fundamental skill.normanding 寫:我的「大膽突破,多方嚐試。」

Like the 2011 Korean demo team is trying to put their martial art into their skiing. Since those demonstrator got very sound fundamental skill so the outcome is still strong skiing.
But some low level skier try to 大膽突破, the outcome is just a joke. e.g. 雪杖朝天

Look at these 2 montages of WC skiers. They all look like sitting back.

For intermediate skier took some lesson by some lower level instructor , it's very easy to confuse what is sitting back as they were told to be more forward.Observer 寫:Sorry, my wording was a bit harsh.

A good stance is like sitting on a invisible chair or simpley said doing a squat. A sit back stance is hanging on the calve of the boots.
A sit back stance can't turn the skis that fast since the front of the skis is not engaged. The Korean guys turn so fast and well control their turns, it is impossible for them to sit back, may be occasionally one or two turns.

You are able to find out the answer if study the techniques for transition.lelo
